Sam and Mike at The Old Town Hall in Bedford

Sam & Mike's Elegant Wedding at The Old Town Hall, Bedford

Sam and Mike’s wedding day was a beautiful celebration of love at The Old Town Hall in Bedford, a charming registry office nestled close to the tranquil River Great Ouse. With its historic setting and intimate atmosphere, this venue is perfect for smaller weddings, accommodating up to 75 guests—especially ideal for mid-week ceremonies.

Just a stone's throw away from The Swan Hotel, The Old Town Hall offers the convenience of both getting ready and hosting a reception in one convenient location. It’s an ideal spot for couples seeking a relaxed wedding experience.

Romantic Moments by the River

Sam had a vision for her couples portraits—she wanted to capture the beauty of the river as a backdrop for her photos. We took a short, scenic stroll to The Embankment, where the views of the river and bridge provided the perfect setting. It was a peaceful moment, just the two of them, as they took in the stunning surroundings and made memories to last a lifetime.

A Vintage Touch for the Reception

After their heartfelt ceremony, the newlyweds were whisked away in a vintage car to their reception at The White Horse pub, Southill, just a short drive away. They celebrated in a private room, away from the hustle and bustle of the main pub. Lia from Glass Slipper Events styled the room, transforming it into a gorgeous, intimate space that truly reflected Sam and Mike’s personal style. The elegant décor was the perfect way to kick off their celebrations.

The Dream Team: Wedding Suppliers

Sam and Mike’s wedding was made even more special by their incredible suppliers, who helped bring their vision to life:

  • Photography: Alexandra Arlett

  • Transport: MC Wedding Cars

  • Cake: The Little Bluebell Bakery

  • Flowers: The Flower Mill

  • DJ: DJ Jenson Shead

It was such a joy to capture their love story, and I wish them all the best as they begin this exciting new chapter together!
